Soul Food Junkies, San Francisco Viewing

TVS presents a San Francisco screening of "Soul Food Junkies" a new documentary by Bryon Hurt that delves into the historical and controversial relationship between the African American community and soul food. I will be moderating a panel after the screening that will include the film's director, Shakirah Simley from Bi-Rite Market & 18 Reasons, and Eric Holt-Giménez of Food First.

About the location and parking
The theater is located on the basement level, and you¹ll need to take the stairs to get there (an elevator is also available close to the Grove Street entrance).
There are two main entrances to the library: one is at 100 Larkin Street (between Grove and Fulton). The other entrance, which is closer to the theater, is at 30 Grove Street (between Larkin and Hyde).

PARKING:
Street Parking can be found on Larkin, McAllister, Fulton, Hyde and Grove.
Please keep in mind that the parking is metered until 6:00 p.m.
Pay Parking is available at:
Civic Center Garage (355 McAllister Street, between Polk and Larkin). This is the closest. It¹s $2.50/hr. After parking, walk 1 block on Polk or Larkin (towards Market Street) to the Library.
Performing Arts Garage (360 Grove St., between Franklin and Gough)
This is farther away, about three blocks. It¹s $2.50/hr. After parking, walk
three blocks on Grove (towards Market Street) to the Library.
