Malía Everette is the director of the San Fransicso organization Global Exchange's Reality Tours program, overseeing the growth and development of alternative travel programs, study seminars and fact finding human rights delegations to countries all over the world. Malía has a BA in English Literature and an MA in International Relations. She has written numerous articles about socially responsible travel and is a widely invited speaker on US international relations with Cuba. Malía is involved with many local environmental and human rights groups in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Hank Herrera, M.D. is General Manager of Dig Deep Farms & Produce, a social enterprise of the Alameda County Deputy Sheriffs’ Activities League. Dig Deep Farms, started two years ago, has built a production farm, now amounting to over 8 acres; a CSA; a distribution system for fresh, healthy, affordable food for members of vulnerable communities; and multiple sales channels. This business is moving to positive cash flow and profitability,which allows us to employ and train community residents for the jobs required to operate the business, and to pay our employs a living wage.
Bobby L. Wilson, President and CEO of Metro Atlanta Urban Farm, founded this five acre property to use as a teaching tool, economic empowerment zone, and as a food production site for the southwest Metropolitan Atlanta area. With a strong belief in getting back to basics, Bobby uses this farm to promote the benefits of urban agriculture in food and job insecure areas.

Shyaam worked for the City of Berkeley Health and Human Services Department as Director of the Office of Health Planning, Education, Promotion and Chronic Diseases for over 28 years.
